SunDog Solar offers Comprehensive Home Energy Assessments through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. This assessment is the first step to help you determine how much energy your home consumes and what measures you can take to make your home more energy efficient. A Home Energy Assessment is performed by our own BPI certified personnel who are trained to identify problems that, when corrected, may help you save up to 40% on your home’s energy costs.

What’s included in a Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment?
Our trained technician will visit your home and perform a number of tests to determine what areas will benefit from energy efficiency upgrades. After the assessment we will send you a detailed report recommending improvements to make your home more energy-efficient, comfortable, safe, and durable. Our technician will evaluate, and report on, the following areas:

• Health & Safety (Carbon Monoxide Levels/Moisture Problems)
• Air Infiltration Rates
• Insulation Levels
• Domestic Hot Water Systems
• Heating System Efficiency
• Cooling System/Central Air Conditioning Efficiency
• Distribution System (Ductwork)
• Lighting
• Major Appliances

Why Have a Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment?
After the home energy assessment is performed, if you follow all the recommendations listed in the final report, your home will be labeled an “Energy $mart” home.

What does a Comprehensive Home Energy Assessment cost?
The evaluation fee is $500.00 (we will rebate $250.00 after all the recommendations listed in the report are completed by our technician).
